Yesnaby, Orkney
A blustery day, two cars gave the opportunity of a linear walk from Yesnaby to Stromness.
The walk along the coast has plenty of interest, including the stack named Yesnaby Castle, cliffs and seaviews to Cape Wrath and the Old Man of Hoy.
This area is also home to the Scots Primrose, which is endemic to Scotland. We were lucky, initially we spotted a single flower, nearer Stromness we spotted lots. Also on the walk we saw lots of Grass of Parnassus.
The last bit of the walk, down the road to Stromness was long, but the coffee in Julia's coffee shop was worth the wait!
